How to learn Spanish faster through apps

Hi there, it’s me again, Franklin!!

In this new post I’ll write about the most recommended apps for learning Spanish that people can use from the huge apps market. I hope this help you choosing your best option.

After the good results of my first post a lot of people wrote to me asking for more ideas on how to learn Spanish faster. Also, asked me to write about my personal experience learning through apps, and finally asked me to make some basic lessons for learning tooooo fast…

OMG! I don’t know how to do all those requests, hahahaha….. but I'll do my best, I promise.🙋

So, why don’t you tell me which one of the advices of my last post you tried for learning Spanish? What was your experience talking face to face to a native speaker? How did you feel? Were you nervous? Do you need another three slaps? Hahahhaaa, I don’t think so!

Hey! don't forget to write your experiences in the comments at the end.

**** Before starting our apps list, first be aware of this ****

Using apps may take a little bit longer to learn Spanish unless the user has 24/7 disponibility to do 20 units in one week, but, I guarantee that when you are in unit 20 then you will have forgotten everything about unit 1.

Said this, apps are created to make a step-by-step learning, which means that the student must review past lessons to don't forget words and grammar. This takes time dude! 😇

Remember this is my personal opinión which I share to help people improve Spanish learning. Thus, learning through apps is not as fast as you may desire for holding a fluent conversation in a short time.

Also, as we are living in a world in which products and services have been influenced by reviews of real people who share their personal experiences, I'd like to share some screen captures about ratings of every Spanish learning app, so, in this way you can judge by yourself.

Let’s start apps lovers!

Apps for learning Spanish - Common features

1. All of them allow students to start from scratch, so, if you don’t know how to say “hi” in Spanish, they all are perfect for you. Moreover, all apps allow you to learn at your own rhythm.

Hey! if you don't know hot to say "hi" in Spanish, you are bad!

2. As it is scientifically proven by certain case studies that visual content drives more interest to students in the learning process in any area, most of them use this methodology to teach easily and for a better comprehension. They also use methodologies that are dedicated to understand how we acquire and retain new information and skills.

3. As they all use visual content, even kids can use any app in a daily routine with an excellent long-term result.

4. People can study from the mobile app or even from a desktop. Progress will be saved in both.

5. Each app records how many consecutive days you spend learning Spanish through it, then it sends a reminder almost daily if you take a long vacation without studying.

6. They help from the beginning to set up people daily goals to reach the main objective; speak fluently!

7. Each one uses a gamification strategy – encouraging learners to collect points as they progress through their language learning.

8. Every app allows reviewing what you’ve learned at any time. You can go back but do not overtake until you haven't finished a lesson.

9. You can study even without the Internet connection.

10. Finally, most of them are free and offer a Premium feature. But, let´s be honest, I’ve never paid for learning languages.😒

My best recommendations when using Apps to learn Spanish

- Set a schedule to follow every day. By programming a daily number of study hours you´ll force yourself to reach personal objectives on learning Spanish. Otherwise, time will be wasted. I truly recommend setting a minimum of one hour.

- Don't get married with only one app. It´s necessary to complement daily studies with other resources as online Spanish dictionaries that help get more comprehension of a specific word, phrase or even grammar.

- Write down everything on a paper for quick search. Let’s suppose someone needs to check a specific phrase because is chatting with anyone by WhatsApp, then that person would need to review the entire lesson inside the app (even answering questions) to finally find that phrase. But, if that person has taken personal notes aside, it will be easier to find than inside the app.

Apps list for Learning Spanish

Duolingo: Undoubtedly, the market’s most popular app. It is a fun and innovated learning language app designed for everyone; universally accessible. As they say in the website “Duolingo is a global community of language learners. We believe that everyone should have access to free language education…”. hahahaha I love everything free!

And I love this too: Their ultimate goal is to give everyone access to a private tutor experience through technology.

Dang! they go overhead.

More than three million people rated five stars. Does it give you some little trust? hahaha.... let's continue.

Memrise: Its main contribution is helping people through the exercise of memorizing everything you see on the screen. Their recipe is based on three ingredients: Science, Fun, and Community. In others words, they work and learn from your brain, with playful activities and the help of the Community.

Besides learning Spanish, you can find another kind of courses such as math, history, art, geography, literature, and much more.

Babbel: It teaches languages by focusing on day-to-day conversations so that they are relevant, practical knowledge and help you speak confidently. It has an app for each language to download individually, so learners can focus all their efforts on just one language at a time.

The first lesson of each course is completely free for all languages, but, if you want to get full access you will have to pay. 👻

Wlingua: It is a recent and decent app. Its course provides you with the necessary tools: vocabulary, grammar explanations, reading, exercises and a comprehensive Spanish dictionary.

The app gives the option to learn Spanish from Spain (castellano) or from Mexico (español), starting from scratch or from a basic to advanced level.

In the same way as Babbel, it allows downloading individual apps for each language. If you want complete access to all the content and material then you need to pay.

Mondly: It is a great app which allows you to record your voice, so you can compare, learn, have fun and watch your progress. this enables boosting your confidence when talking to native speakers.

Its methodology is based on learning phrases, not individual words. So they focus on the most useful real life phrases to get people ready for conversations.

Self-recording is the best approach for reviewing and eliminating diction and pronunciation and grammar errors from your speech. This is an awesome advantage comparing with other apps.

Hey! How's it going till now? Already chose your best option?

To conclude, as I told you at the beginning, If you are starting to learn the Spanish language then they all are perfect for you. But remember, apps aren't a magic faucet that immediately as soon as they are installed, the next day you'll be speaking fluently; not even the next week. It is about been constant and disciplined with a schedule.

I'll keep updating this apps list every time I can. If you own one just leave your comment below and I will include it here.

So, you tell me now... Have you ever used any app? What was your experience? Did you finish all the lessons? Did it work?

See you soon! Don't forget to share.💗
